Ralf Fletcher

Ralf has over 12 years experience in Digital (or 'new media' in ye olde days) on both client and integrated agency side in London, Brighton and on international projects, with a particular specialism in the Computer Games and Entertainment sectors.

Working with clients including EA, NCsoft, Sony (SCEE), Nickelodeon and others in the Viacom stable including MTV, Ralf's remit has expanded over the years from being a client-side technical team leader, to agency-side Account Director, Head of Digital and Commercial Director.

He is an experienced Producer, qualified software project manager and brings an appreciation of both creative excellence married to technical execution within the crucial context of delivering highly measurable results and return on investment.

Prior to founding Digital United in late 2008, Ralf was a freelance Producer and Digital / Integrated Marketing consultant working with ambitious local entrepreneurs on leading-edge techniques including ARG (Alternate Reality Gaming) and the creation of 'extended realities' to increase length and depth of interaction in the era of 'continuous partial attention' (CPA, a term coined by ex-Microsoft exec. Linda Stone to refer to "a state in which most of one's attention is on a primary task, but where one is also monitoring several background tasks just in case something more important or interesting comes up...")

Ralf has over 5 years experience operating freelance network-model and 'virtual agency' based businesses and applied all his learnings and proven processes and effective delivery practices in collaboratively forming DU with the core Management Team. Digital United is neither a loose-knit network or virtual agency. It is a very real, tangible agency, but without the failings of traditional agencies. In fact, Digital United is the *first* agency to be structured as a part Worker Cooperative, giving the team a very real say in what we do and how we do it and the performance incentive of profit share on our end of year profits. We are proud of our genuine esprit de corps and genuine passion for delivering great results for clients. Mediocrity is just something we don't do here at DU.  

In his spare time Ralf loves getting out on the rolling Downs early on Sunday mornings to ride horses, is a keen musician (insofar as drummers can be called musicians :-p), enjoys keeping fit at the gym and racket sports, skiing (not coordinated enough to 'board), Summer holidays in the Mediterranean and further afield...
